Here & Where roundup: my weekly five week nine

pumpkin candle holders, tote bags, easy brownie cookies, and lots to be thankful for!

Happy October! I’m writing this under the softest, coziest blanket (if you’re curious) while it’s grey and rainy outside, and it finally feels like fall here. My heart is happy! Plus, after a weekend of solo parenting, my husband is back, and we are looking forward to an evening in watching football and making chicken tortilla soup! A dream! Here’s to hoping your Sunday is filled with just as much coziness and without any more delay, let’s get into the weekly five roundup!

Baked: Magnolia Brownie Cookies

I cheated a little with these because they are store bought, but honestly, you’d never know it! I’ve been really happy with all the Magnolia baking items I’ve tried so far, and these were no exception! 15 minutes to bake, and next time, I may even make them into ice cream sandwiches or add marshmallow ghosts on top!

Wore: L.L. Bean Tote Bag

These L.L. Bean Totes are everywhere right now, and I’m jumping on the hype train! I wasn’t someone who grew up with one of these, but I registered for one to use as a diaper bag with baby #2, and so far, I love it! Plus, it looks cute hanging on our new bead board wall! This one is the green with a zip top, size large, and with regular handles.

Made: Pumpkin Taper Candle Holders

One of the easier (though slightly dangerous feeling) crafts I’ve done so far. I saw this one on Pinterest and had to try it for myself! After trying a variety of sharp things to cut out a hole in the top of the pumpkins, I found that a serrated kitchen knife worked best. I also added some air-dry clay inside to help hold the candle in place. Fire hazard? I’m not sure…. but, it definitely helped the candle feel more sturdy!

These or these would be really cute inside!

Bought: A Great Brown Nail Polish

As a habitual nail biter, I really do my best to keep my nails painted because it seems to help me break the habit. And, when fall rolls around, I love good brown nail polish! But, browns are weirdly hard to get right when it comes to nail polish? Here’s one I’m loving! Not too dark, not to purple, not to tan - it’s just right!

Thankful: Pumpkins!

This week, pumpkins have brought me a lot of joy! Seeing them outside of neighbor’s homes, our son taking pictures with them outside our coffee shop, making these cute pumpkin candle holders… pumpkins are an autumn gift that I have a lot of gratitude for! I’m curious, do you have a favorite type of pumpkin?
