We are officially on fall watch here in Texas! I think we have our last few days of 90 degree weather, and then we are getting a cold front + some rain! I’m so excited…. and already planning for some chicken tortilla soup and a fun baked something! My weekly roundup from this past week was a fun one. Let’s get into it!
Baked: Apple Cider Donuts - recipe here
After a bunch of muffins, breads, and cookies, I wanted to mix things up and try my hand at a donut recipe! And, since we’re all about getting in a fall mood over here, I landed on this apple cider donut recipe. It was so good!! And honestly, it was pretty easy too! It reminded me of our trip to Vermont a few falls ago, and since apple cider donuts are hard to come by around here, I’m glad to have found such a yummy recipe!!
Wore: Exercise Dresses Galore
One thing about me… I love a good exercise dress! It’s such an easy, one piece outfit that feels a little more casual than a sundress. They’re easy, comfy, and great for our warm weather days that seem to be never ending.
In pregnancy, my dress selection gets a little smaller, and I’ve taken adding one or two of these to my monthly Nuuly order. The maternity specific ones are especially comfy as I continue to grow, but I’m linking of a few of my favorites for non-pregnant life, too!

Made: Bead board Wall in our Living Room!
As we prep for this baby to get here, one unique thing about our tiny home is not having extra space for a second nursery. Instead, we’re converting our dining room to a makeshift nursery for a few months until the boys can share a room. Because it’s a temporary fix, I don’t want to do many permanent projects in that room, but my project/nesting bug is still there, meaning the rest of our house is getting to benefit (sorry husband)!
I’ve been wanting to add bead board to our entry way for awhile now, and we finally did it! I’m happy with how this project turned out, since we are very much beginner project people.
Bought: Mums + an Apple Cider Broom
Seen above, we’re continuing to add to our fall decorations, little by little! I’ve never gotten one of these scented brooms before, but I thought it would be the perfect addition to our little entry way hooks. This one’s apple cider scented (very on theme with the week as a whole). We also purchased some mums for the porch, but TBD if they’ll survive the heat and make it to Halloween!
Thankful: A Fun Pumpkin Porch
I’ve been anxiously awaiting this fall addition for 2 years now (for some reason, the pumpkins didn’t get put out last year), and man did it bring joy to see our favorite coffee shop all decorated! Plus, Davis loves it and asks to take a picture with the pumpkins every time we visit. It’s the best!
