Here & Where roundup: my weekly five week seven

banana bread, an easy halloween diy craft, and trying to build a fall wardrobe while 32 weeks pregnant

Is it just me or is September flying by? If August felt like the longest month of the year, this one may feel like the shortest! I feel like I blinked and we are already 2/3 of the way through this month! And, while the rest of the country starts to prepare for fall, we are still in full summer mode (at least weather wise) here in Texas. Highs in the 100’s (I wish I was kidding) have made it a little harder to get in the fall mood, but here are a few things this week that helped!

Baked: Banana Bread - recipe here

Maybe I’m just more in the mood for pumpkin right now, but this wasn’t my favorite recipe I’ve made if I’m really honest. I think breads can be hard because it’s tricky to keep them moist, while also making sure everything gets fully cooked. The pumpkin bread from last week was so dang good, and this one didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. Am I still going to eat the whole thing? Yes, of course!

*also, I didn’t add the cinnamon, but did choose to add some milk chocolate chips

Wore: Pajamas, Pajamas, Pajamas!

Something about being pregnant makes me want to live in pajamas 24/7 (and if I could, I would!). I’m officially declaring brown as my fall wardrobe color! It’s versatile and goes with everything, and so much of what I’ve worn/bought lately has been a brown of some sort. These are under $50 for the set!

Made: Ghost Garland

I have to confess, this one’s a throwback that I actually didn’t literally make this week, but because I made it before I started my weekly five, I feel it still deserves a spot to be shared! And, it’s good timing with Halloween just a little over a month away! If you’re looking for a fun, easy craft to do solo, with friends, or with toddlers, this is a fun one! And, almost everyone who comes over compliments how cute it is… a win! Here’s everything you need to know!

Bought: Fall Sweater

And, on the topic of fall outfitting, I’m obsessed with those photos on pinterest that create outfits for you… chunky sweaters, clogs, thick socks… It’s taking a lot of self control to not buy all the things (partly because it’s still summer here, and partly because of my pregnant belly that makes it impossible to tell if something actually fits or not right now). This one comes in lots of colors and is under $30, so it felt worth the risk!

Thankful:

This week, I’m feeling grateful for our neighborhood coffee shop that has become part of my daily routine! Not only is the coffee my favorite of pretty much anywhere else I’ve tried (which I feel so grateful for by the way), but it’s also so lovely to see familiar faces every day. People who know my family & I, people who are kind, it’s just such a gift to have a neighborhood spot that we love!
