Here & Where roundup: my weekly five week four
Week 4, here we go! And, my first late weekly roundup, which was inevitable… and totally okay! It’s been a busy, busy week around here. While August in general felt slow and never ending, we’re going out with a bang! Five back to back days of big “things” which is a lot for my pregnant self. The first part of the weekend started with two back to back days of training for my real job as a therapist. 14 continuing education hours in 2 days is… a lot! Then, a sweet baby sprinkle to celebrate baby boy! And now, we head into a wedding (on a Tuesday, which is a fun way to break up the week!) for the next two days. Whew!
Before we get into it, here’s a sweet picture I took of our son’s shadow one morning in our kitchen! ✨
Baked: Chicken Enchiladas with Green Sauce
This has been a favorite of mine in the last few weeks because it is SO easy to make! And, this week I even prepped it ahead of time so that when dinner rolled around, we just popped it in the oven. The only downside is it’s too spicy for our toddler, so he gets another meal on the days we make this. It’s my own recipe (nothing crazy, just a few ingredients thrown together), so I don’t have a link, but am going to try to write something up soon!
Wore: Comfy Black Dress - Pregnancy Friendly!
I wore this dress for client sessions, the conference I attended, running errands, etc. So comfy! I rented it through Nuuly, so while I don’t have a great link for it, I found some other similar options here & here.

Made: DIY Embroidered Pendant Tote Bag
Last year, I had some leftover tote bags from a girls night I hosted, and decided on a whim to make a bag for our son to take to daycare! We ended up using it all year long, so this year, I put a little more thought and intentionality into it and just love what we ended up making! And, it only took a couple hours… a win!
Bought: A Fun Goodwill Find - A Skeleton!
Okay, I have been loving these life size skeletons as Halloween decor the last few years, but have been too cheap to actually go purchase one. So, when we stumbled upon one of these during our weekly Goodwill run, we had to grab him! He was literally in the Goodwill employee’s cart and she was about to put him out, and we just asked if we could take him home with us! He has been riding in our backseat and has become our son’s new friend (ha!) and I can’t wait to do something fun with him on our porch when we put pumpkins out in a few weeks!
Thankful: Community! So Much Community!
As intense as the last few days have been, I have felt so blessed by and grateful for our community of people. Getting to see and catch up with old work friends at the training I attended, feeling so loved and cared for at our sprinkle for baby boy, and knowing we have so many people we will get to see at the wedding we are headed to…gosh, it is just such a blessing to have community! I could say so much about this, and what a journey it has been (and continues to be), but I’ll save that for another day. For now, my heart just feels grateful and full!
