Candle Painting + Bouquet Making Girls Night

If you’ve been following along at all, you know I love a girls night! In the craziness of being a mom, trying to work, and just the heaviness of daily life, it truly refreshes my soul so much to get to have people over to connect and laugh together. And, I got to host with my friend which made it even more fun!! You can shop links for the craft supplies and decorations here.

I also love a good DIY craft (which you also know if you’ve been following along at all), so incorporating a fun craft is always fun when planning a girls night! This specific girls night, we painted taper candles + made bouquets. It was technically a belated galentine’s night, but honestly, the decoration + crafts could have worked for any type of girls night! Here’s all the details!

Candle Painting Supplies:

ivory candles - shop

acrylic paint + tiny paintbrushes - shop

brown craft paper - shop

I’ve seen this idea all over online, and knew it was one I wanted to try! A few things we learned… the acrylic paint was hit or miss on how well it stayed on the candles. People had the best luck applying thick coats (almost dabbing the paint on). Also, we ended up poking holes in the bottom of paper cups and turning them upside down to hold our candles while we painted. This kind of worked, but we could have probably found a better solution!

Bouquet Making Supplies:

brown craft sheets - shop

twine/ribbon - shop

scissors - shop

This was so fun! We had everyone bring a bouquet (and then, most people brought a few!) and we ended up with a TON of flowers! It was fun to mix and match all the different kinds, and we were able to make beautiful bouquets because of the variety of flowers that everyone brought! At the end of the night, I used the rest of the flowers to make 2 more bouquets- so sweet!

Also, how fun was this card/ribbon banner? My friend that I hosted with made it, and I just loved it!
