Quebec City Fall Trip Guide

Quebec City was one of the stops on a babymoon fall trip and it did not disappoint! I think going in October was a really fun time to go, but I also love the colorful leaves and a rainy/cozy vibe. Especially being from Texas and being someone who loves fall, this trip fit the exact vibe I was trying to create on our babymoon.

Where we stayed:

Hotel Manoir D’auteuil - it was so lovely! There was a park across the street, and it was right on the edge of the Old City of Quebec, a historic part of town that truly feels like you’re in Europe! Parking was easy, it felt relatively affordable, and was quaint and cozy. The only bummer is we were on the top floor and there was not an elevator, so it was quite a trek to take our bags up and down!

Stairs in our hotel leading up to our room!

Where we ate:

Cafe La Maison Smith - I think we went to almost all of the locations all over Quebec City! This was my favorite coffee/pastry/breakfast spot and each location was so cute in a different way! We loved this place.

Nacho Pub - great for drinks in Old Town

Au Petit Chalet for a fun breakfast

Dinner: Matto, Sapristi

What we did:

This trip was all about wandering around! We really didn’t have an agenda beyond wanting to explore the Old Town area and honestly, this was pretty quick! I was also pregnant so there was lots of time for resting, too!

Siberia Spa - this place was a short drive from where our hotel was, and oh my gosh it was AMAZING, especially in the fall. The leaves were gorgeous, the massages were wonderful, and there was a whole outdoor space with saunas, hot tubs, and spots to sit by firepits and enjoy the scenery. I wish I could go back here!

Explore Rue Saint-Jean - this is a cute street with lots of fun restaurants and shops! It was fun to walk up and down!

Go hydrangea hunting - the hydrangeas downtown were the best I have ever seen- giant fields filled with big, beautiful, pink hydrangeas… my dream!

Explore Av. Maguire and the surrounding neighborhood - This is a cute little street with some nice restaurants and shops. We got breakfast at Au Petit Chalet (crepes were YUM!) and then drove to a random neighborhood nearby, parked our car, and walked around! It was rainy, and a lovely way to see some pretty fall foliage/pretend like I lived in another city for a minute! ha!

Overall - this was a pretty quick trip! It was stop 1 of our 2 part babymoon (part 2 was Vermont, which you can read about here)! I would definitely recommend this spot, especially if combining with another place close-ish by. It really does feel like you’re in Europe without having to take the long flight there!
