Fall Trip to Hoboken, NJ

Whenever Jordan has a work trip somewhere fun, I love to try to tag along if possible. His most recent trip was a conference in Hoboken, New Jersey and when I heard about this, I definitely wanted to try to make it work! I have family around the area who hadn’t met Davis, plus, it was still in the 90’s in Texas and I was craving some fall weather! So, Davis and I tagged along and it was the sweetest little trip that definitely exceeded my expectations.

I think going in, I thought it would be pretty chaotic. We flew into NYC and I wasn’t sure how traffic/parking/renting a car would be, especially with a toddler! I was pleasantly surprised at how easy navigating the airport, getting our rental car, and driving through the city all was. Once we got into Hoboken, we got settled and Davis and I had the evening to ourselves while Jordan went to work! We stayed at the Lincoln Harbor Sheraton, which was wonderful because we could walk everywhere we needed to go and they had a giant parking lot for our rental car. I was surprised at how walkable this area was and at how many people were walking everywhere! It felt so safe and easy to navigate. Plus, the view of the city was incredible!

Where we ate:

-City Bistro

-Beneci's D'Italia Cucina (multiple times because it was in our hotel and traveling with a toddler means doing what is easy!)

-Koocheh Coffee

-Plus, we stocked up on some snacks at Whole Foods which was walkable from our hotel as well!

Popping Into New York City!

While we were in Hoboken, we decided to spend a half day in NYC (barely enough time to do anything, lol!). We took the ferry over the river which was super easy because we could just roll our stroller on and it only took about 10 minutes. We walked through Times Square and Central Park, then stopped at Ella Social for a fries + drink break! This was a lovely spot because we could sit on the patio and people watch. We shopped a bit on the upper west side, and then as we were heading back to the ferry, we decided to stop into a wonderful little Italian restaurant called Norma in Hell’s Kitchen.

This restaurant deserves its own paragraph because it was so wonderful! They were Italian and were sooo kind to Davis as he kept screaming (to be funny) at the top of his lungs! They came and sang with him and told us they didn’t mind the loudness and when we left, they kept telling us how much joy he brought, even though we felt very stressed at how loud he was. Plus, the pizza was amazing! 10/10 would recommend and go back if we are ever close by!

Half Day in Wycoff, NJ

While Jordan was working, Davis and I went on the hunt to find a pumpkin patch and stumbled upon the cutest farm in Wycoff, NJ. There were animals, tons of pumpkins and apples, and a cute little market. It was only about 30-40 minutes outside of Hoboken, and was so much fun to go explore with him!

Overall, we SO enjoyed this quick trip to NJ and NYC! It was so much fun to see some fall weather and to explore the city with Davis!
